Construction has begun on a wheelchair access ramp for the Horsefly library.

Author Reading in Tatla Lake [posted: May 21/09]

Diana Phillips will read from her book Beyond the Chilcotin at the Tatla Lake Library on Wednesday June 17th at 1pm.


Storytime in the Park [posted: May 15/09]

On Friday mornings at 10:30am the Williams Lake Library will hold storytime in Kiwanis Park, (weather permitting). If it’s rainy, cold, or really windy, storytime will be in the program room. All children must be accompanied by an adult and no registration is required. (Note that the last storytime in the Park will be June 26th).

 

Family Storytime [posted: May 14/09]

In cooperation with the Quesnel Family Literacy Society, the Quesnel library is hosting a family story time on May 28th from 3-4:30pm.  This is a free event with many local storytellers, including stories in sign language.  All children must be accompanied by an adult.

 

Author Visit [posted: May 1/09]

Join us for slides and readings from Jewel of the Kootenays. Author and former miner, Larry Jacobsen, interviewed 91 previous residents for their stories of life in a small company-owned mining town over 50 years ago.
