Library Pages – Williams Lake Branch
This posting is directed to Secondary Students, Grade 10 and up.
Applications are hereby invited for Library Page positions at the Williams Lake Branch. The closing deadline for applications is 5:00 p.m. Friday, September 10, 2010.
Regular shifts from four (4) to eight (8) hours a week are available. Main duties include collecting, sorting and shelving books and other library materials; shelf-reading (placing books in the correct order) and other basic tasks as directed.
This is a union position and is covered by the terms and conditions of employment as set out in the Collective Agreement between the Cariboo Regional District and the BC Government and Service Employees Union.
Qualifications / Abilities:
- Must be in full-time attendance at an educational institution
- Qualify for a social insurance number
- Must have the ability to shelve materials accurately in alphabetical and numerical order;
- Must be able to handle boxes of books and push a loaded book truck
